Cracker Barrel Meatloaf


– 2 lbs ground beef
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 2 eggs, beaten
– 1 cup milk
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1/2 teaspoon dried sage

For the Glaze:

– 1/2 cup ketchup
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon mustard


1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, chopped green bell pepper, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and dried sage. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

3. Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.

4. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard to create the glaze.

5. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

7. Allow the meatloaf to rest for a few minutes before slicing.

8. Serve slices of the meatloaf with your favorite sides.
